At Eco Adventures, this isn’t just a day out on the water — it’s the kind of experience people talk about long after it’s over.

We’re based in Mangawhai, but our playground stretches far beyond — from Bream Bay and the Hen & Chickens to the Mokohinau Islands and wherever the conditions (and the fish) are best. With a fully equipped 8m Surtees Gamefisher and experienced local skippers, we’re set up to go further, fish better, and show you parts of the coast most people never see.

But what really sets us apart is how we do it.

We run private, small-group charters — no rush, no noise. Just your crew, a great boat, and a day shaped around what you want. That might mean chasing kingfish, dropping lines for snapper, exploring hidden bays, swimming in clear water, or pulling up somewhere special to turn your catch into something unforgettable.

It’s hands-on, it’s relaxed, and it’s built around those moments you can’t manufacture — the first strike, dolphins off the bow, glassy water, or sitting back with a cold drink after a proper day out.

We also take our responsibility to the ocean seriously. Sustainable fishing practices are part of every trip, and we actively support organisations like LegaSea and Sea Cleaners — giving back to help protect the waters we rely on and respect.
